Generation Asset Monitor™ MISO provides an outlook for the development timelines of new generation projects and plant retirements in the Midcontinent ISO region. The GAM is a monthly database that includes an evaluation of individual generation projects under development in the MISO Interconnection Queue. Several important details are tracked for each project, including interconnection queue numbers, permitting status, financing and / or PPA status. In addition, the GAM tracks and identifies generator retirements (both announced and at-risk). ESAI assigns a probability of completion to each project included in the GAM, and the probability-weighted capacity of these projects informs our capacity addition and retirement assumptions for each pool.
For each project, ESAI assigns a “probability of completion factor” in percentage terms, which is then applied to develop a forward assessment of likely capacity additions and retirements in each pool. Generation Asset Monitor™ MISO is published monthly and provides a summary overview of the significant changes that occurred in the previous month.
Generation Asset Monitor™ (GAM) tracks the interconnection queues in MISO as well as PJM, NYISO and ISO-NE.
