The Reliability Resource Initiative (RRI) offers a unique, one-time opportunity for shovel-ready projects that can be brought online quickly to strengthen grid reliability. PJM will now rely on a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-approved rating process to select up to 50 of these projects. This targeted approach will help ensure a timely boost in dependable generation capacity to support growing demand, alongside projects already progressing through PJM’s interconnection queue.
